It is important to us that the users of our services understand who we collect and handle data. In this Privacy Policy you will learn more about what kind of data we collect, how we do it and what we use it for.

Personal data are data and evaluations that can be connect to an individual. Some examples are name, address, phone number, email address, IP address, or a combination of these that makes it possible to identify the person behind the data. 

All use of person data is considered as processing of personal data, for instance gathering, registration, comparison, storage and disclosure or a combination of these. Processing of privacy information is regulated by the Personal Data Act. 

Egersund Trål AS is responsible for all personal data that are processed in connection with our products and services, as well as personal data we collect and process for the below purpose. This means that Egerusnd Group has responsibility and duties according to the Personal Data Act. 

If Egersund Trål AS choose assigns the responsibility to process personal data, we call it a data processor. In cases where we use a data processor, we will always have an agreement with the data processor that regulate how it may process available data. As a standard, a data processor will only be allowed to process personal data on behalf of Egersund Trål AS and with a clearly defined purpose, in accordance with the requirements in the Personal Data Act. 
 
How do we collect data about you?
Most of the data we have about you are generated through the use of our service, for instance: page views and information about your unit (pc, mobile, tablet).

When you use a form, you will submit some data that we store. The information is stored in our databases so we can act on your request.

When you use our services, we will register information about which services you are using and how your are using them. This enables us to improve the user experience, the content of our services, prevent fraud and customize content and ads according to your interest and user pattern.

We receive information from other sources, for instance ad networks, customers, statistic tools or other third-parties that can help us or them understand user patterns, your preferences or improve our services to better serve your needs and interests.

Egersund Trål AS process personal data and other types of data to deliver services as agreed with you. We also use to data to ensure a best possible user experience for you through automatic login, responsive design and fast loading of web pages. 
 
For statstics and understanding market trends
We prepare statistics and map market trends to improve and further develop our web pages. 
 
To personalise services - services specifically tailored to you 
We want to give you the opportunity of getting customized content and adjustments. We do this by using data about your user pattern, preferences and other available information. The information allows us to learn about your needs and interests, so we can e.g. remove articles you have already read from the front page or recommended articles web parts, and to provide recommendations based on your previous history. We will also give you recommendations based on the preferences of other user with similar user patterns as yourself. 
 
Information about marketing in email and sms
If you are a current customer of Egersund Trål AS, we will be able to send you marketing emails or text messages within the framework of Norway's Marketing Act, unless you have asked to be removed from our lists. Non-customers will only receive such content if they have explicetly given their concent. 
 
How are data being shared? 
In some cases we will share personal data with partners that will use the data to provide targeted content/offers through their services. In these cases, we will always have an agreement that limits the access to use the data and that commits our partners to comply with the Privacy Act. 

In case of suspicion of law offences related to use of services, the data may be given to publich authorities on request. 

We will not share, sell or disclose personal data in any other way than described in this Privacy Policy. 
 
Correcting and deleting personal data
It is important that the data we have collected about you are correct and updated. If you discover any errors, we encourage you to contact us so we can correct the information. You may also contact us if you want us to delete your data.  

We will not save personal data longer than neccessary to fulfill our objectives and statutory obligations, e.g. in accordance with accounting legislation. 
Our research and third-party tools Egersund Trål AS uses research tools to collect information about the use of our services. We use Google Analytics to measure e.g. the number of visitors, track page visits, session times and similar. 

Statistics of users and traffic are most often used and applied in aggregated form. Thus, the statsics will not contain any infomration that can be directly connected to you as an identified person. 
 
Privacy of children
Egersund Trål AS does not wish to gather or in any way process personal data related to children under the age of 15. 

In the case that a child below the age of 15 has given us personal data, we will delete the data as soon as we become aware of the situation.  
 
Changes to the PrivacyPolicy
The Privacy Policy related to Egersund Trål AS's services will be regularly updated to reflect any changes on the web page. When we update the Privacy Policy, the new Policy will be published on the web page 14 days prior to the relevant changes are taking effect. We will inform about the changes in affected services.
